I love black rice so much I can eat it just with coconut oil or ghee and salt. It has more flavor than either brown rice or white rice. This particular rice gets a little sticky, if that makes a difference to you. It's also great as a dessert with coconut milk and panela or sucanat sugar, and a bit of salt. Vanilla and cinnamon optional, but delicious.
It's delicious. I started eating it after I tried a recipe that was referred to me. I was eating it more often, until recently, when I went to purchase it in my local grocer, it was no longer stocked. So I went online to see if it was discontinued, and discovered that I had to order it to continue enjoying it.
Black Pearl Rice is a unique and visually striking grain with a rich flavor. This heirloom rice variety has a dark, inky black color and a nutty taste. It is packed with antioxidants, fiber, and essential nutrients. Black Pearl Rice adds a delightful twist to any dish and is a great option for those seeking a visually appealing and nutritious grain.
Only rice that I like is black or purple and this is great. Cutting the suggested recipe in half lasts me a couple of meals. Obviously more nutritious than the white rice but I understand you're supposed to rinse it very well before cooking because it can contain small amounts of some less than desirable elements that are in it naturally.
Wow, I am blown away by the flavor, taste and texture of this organic black pearl rice! It is unlike any other rice I've tried before - it has a nutty, almost smoky flavor that pairs perfectly with a variety of dishes. The grains are small and slightly sticky, which gives it a satisfying chewiness. I also appreciate that it's organic, so I know it's free from harmful pesticides and chemicals. Whether I'm using it as a base for a stir-fry or mixing it into a salad, this black pearl rice adds a unique and delicious touch to any meal. Highly recommend giving it a try!
