The smell is terrible, sort of like a certain kind of car maintenance product, the very chemical one. The bottle design, aside from its pretty wooden cap, is a total disaster. No matter how careful you pour, it just has to spilt out and makes a mess. The picture on the web page shows that the liquor is transparent, however the one I received is with the light green color?!

The bottle looks really nice, but neither me or my boyfriend could get the cap off, it was completely stuck! We had to snap it off which is annoying. The cap also makes it annoying to pour. The fragrance is unusual I can see why some people don't like it and some do. it smells like slightly fermented fruit/wine. Works well like other witch hazel products I've used at reducing pore size and toning.
