As far as “medium” roasts go, Rise & GRND is very much on the lighter side. The coffee has fruity notes and may taste slightly more sour than your average medium roast. It’s a quality product from a seemingly cool brand, but lighter roasts are generally not my preference.

It's a medium blend, but is it a little darker? It's a taste like that. The balance of sourness and bitterness was about the same, and it was very delicious. The freshness of the beans wasn't bad, and I'm grateful that the specialty grades are easy to buy.

The sour taste of lemon and the nutty taste are just right, and the 92°C water temperature has no bitterness and astringency, and it has a smooth aftertaste.
