Well, it's a conditioner. I guess. Honestly I see absolutely no difference in the results of using this conditioner as compared to using a conditioner from the dollar store and in fact I think it is a bit worse. I spent $8.61 for this tiny 7oz bottle, which comes to $1.23 per oz. And at the dollar store I could have purchased an 18oz bottle of conditioner for just 2 cents more. But, using the silly idea that higher price automatically means better product, I figured I'd treat myself to a 'fancier' brand. What a waste of money though. This tiny 7oz bottle is the size of my palm and won't even last me a month.
As far as the smell is concerned, it smells to me like a typical hand lotion - nothing special. Seeing as it is specifically "for men", I expected there to be more of a 'manly' scent like those from an Old Spice or Every Man Jack product - something with sandalwood or cedar, but no, it smells like a basic Lubriderm or CVS hand lotion. This doesn't matter TOO much though because I don't think any man is going through life expecting the people around them to smell their head. Still though, I'd rather my hair smell like nothing than like hand lotion.
On the plus side, I like that it is vegan and was not tested on animals, which was ultimately the reason why I went with this brand over others, but that's about it. I do not dye or do anything that would damage my hair, but I have to say, after a couple weeks of using this, it feels drier than ever and my scalp itches.
Many people leave 5 star reviews and say things like "I have not used the product yet so I can't comment on if it works or not", which to me negates the entire review. Kind of helps to use a product before reviewing it. I'm also kind of skeptical of the fact that almost every product on this website has nearly all 5-star reviews, which makes me think that the negative reviews aren't even published. But, what can I say; I'm just being honest.
In the end, when this tiny bottle runs out, I definitely will not be buying another one ever again.
