Push button for light. 

1. Use a Lice Shampoo. Follow instructions carefully.
2. Remove all snarls with an ordinary comb before using the Lighted Lice Comb.
3. Separate hair into half inch sections.
4. Insert the long and short pins into comb. Place the short pin teeth next to scalp and gently comb to the ends of the hair. Be careful to pass through the same strand several times and clean the comb after each pass. Rotate the comb and place the long pin teeth next to scalp and gently comb to the ends of the hair. Be careful to pass through the same strand several times and clean the comb after each pass.
5. Repeat this procedure until the entire head is complete.
6. Check hair carefully with light to make sure you haven't missed any lice or nits. To activate light simply press down on button.
7. Continue to inspect for nits daily for at least two weeks.

Long & short pins can be removed and cleaned in warm soapy water for additional use. To easily insert long and short pins, insert bottom first and rotate top in until secure. To remove pull down top of pins. Note that if you try to insert or remove pins by pushing/pulling straight in it may be difficult due to its locking mechanism. See illustrations below.

Light unit contains battery. Do not submerge in water. Do not dispose of battery in fire, battery may explode or leak.
