- In a medium saucepan bring 2 1/4 cups of water to a boil. Stir in 8 oz of wild rice.
- Cover with a tight-fitting lid. Reduce heat to maintain a fast simmer, and cook for 45-50 minutes.
- Remove from heat (keep covered) and stream for 10 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve.
If the rice is too firm at the end of cooking, it may be necessary to add 1-2 tbsp. liquid and cook longer.
Rice Cooker Instructions:
To prepare in a rice cooker, use the same liquid to rice ration.
Makes about 5 servings.
